Technology for Beauty: Promises or Reality?

In a world where a device with lights, electricity, or tiny needles promises to restore your youth in 15 minutes a day, the question is inevitable: are we facing an aesthetic revolution... or just another gadget that will end up in the drawer with the forgotten eyelash curler? From LED masks to micro-needle rollers, to devices that vibrate, heat, cool, or talk to you more sweetly than your ex... technology has invaded the dressing table with promises as tempting as they are dubious. But do they really work? Or are we being carried away by the illusion of a miracle without a scalpel? Spoiler alert: I've tried some of them. And I have things to say.

Tratamiento con microagujas

Episode 1: I pricked my face for fun (and I'd do it again) Microneedling: also known as "how to scratch your face like a scratch card and pray for collagen." Spoiler: it works a little if you don't expect Lourdes-style miracles. Current status: Finer fine lines. Self-esteem: stronger than my forehead. Risk of addiction: medium-high.

Episode 2: I got shocked, and it wasn't for love Face slimming machine: microcurrents that promise to lift your face... and your spirits, if you survive. Tips: Put damp cotton wool where it hits you and you'll end up staring into infinity. DON'T DO IT. Double chin? It's reflecting on its existence. Mental state: Mild electrical trauma. Aesthetics in recovery.

Mascara facial LED

Episode 3: I put on an LED mask and lit up... literally. Seven lights. One face. Zero dignity as you look like a Japanese robot in spa mode. The green light has worked its magic on blemishes (level "less filter in stories" if I had them). Ideal for: when you want to be alone with yourself... and your 72 facial light bulbs. Bonus: your cat, if you have one, will no longer respect you, but your skin will.

Beneficio del frio en la piel

Episode 4: Cryotherapy with ice cubes and a "why am I doing this" face. A napkin, an ice cube or a bag in my case, and a semi-frozen face. Beauty is sacrifice. Results: Happier pores, more awake face, hands with hypothermia. Cost: literally zero. Dignity: frozen next to the ice cream...

📸 Coming Soon: Episode 5: Gua sha, or how to drag a stone across your face pretending you know what you're doing. Spoiler: we won't know. But we'll do it anyway.
