Exploring BreakingBel

Welcome to this blog of discovery and ageless energy.
Because being young is not about age, it’s a state of mind.

Who I Am / Where I Come From

I’m a baby boomer, born in 1964, at the very end of a huge generation—one that often had to arrive late to everything: school, work, and even family life.

Generational Identity

Even though I’m a boomer, I share the spirit of Generation X: a touch of technological rebellion, the strong roots passed down from our parents, and the energy to keep going. We are a blend of tradition and modern life.

How I See Aging

Aging can be planned—not to control everything, but to have direction. The mind is powerful and can turn dreams into real projects.
Traveling is not just about moving from place to place; it’s about learning: researching, respecting local customs, tasting new foods, and listening to stories.
And if you can, try traveling alone at least once. Stepping out of your comfort zone can truly change you.

Travel as a Way of Learning

Traveling is not just about moving around—it’s about learning: doing a bit of research, respecting local customs, tasting new foods, and listening to people’s stories.
And if you can, try traveling alone at least once. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be truly transformative.

What I Don’t Look for When I Travel

In our 60s, cruises and organized tours are everywhere. That’s fine—but what we really need are trips that combine comfort with freedom.

A pace of our own, with room for surprise.

Now It’s Time to Live

We cared, we worked, we raised families. Now it’s time to live. Aging is not the end—it’s a new beginning, lived with more wisdom.
If you have a dream waiting, go for it. With a backpack or a suitcase, alone or with company, planned or spontaneous.
What truly matters is keeping both body and mind in motion.

This blog was born from that.
